You’ll know from previous posts that i’m a big fan of Vamp, the coolest vintage furniture store in Cape Town. They’re also one of my fabulous advertisers (thanks for the vote of confidence Paula!) and i look forward to Fridays when Paula’s regular mail of ‘what’s new in store’ arrives in my inbox.
Yesterday’s mail was perfectly timed too. We’ve kinda sorted out what’s going to happen in the kitchen (floating shelves have got the thumbs up from The Captain) and the bathroom is going to be a moody exercise in charcoal painted walls and a ceiling of twinkly lights so…i have been indulging myself in looking at references for my office.
…this is definitely the kind of the look and feel that works for me – one or two vintagey items (love that wooden cabinet) mixed with white utilitarian stuff and lots of colourful prints and thingamabobs. This is from one of my favourite magazines Inside Out…sheesh, i never cease to be inpired by their features.
So back to the mailer…this week Paula got her hands on an old-school desk (my Dad had pretty much the exact same one) and gave it her unique Vamp stamp! I love it!
And she also reworked some previously blah bookshelves and made them bright and beautiful
Love your Vampish work Paula!
