• Hello lovelies! With this icy weather we’re having, the coats in our home are getting a workout! And on weekends when there are five of us at home, we are drowning in coats being left lying around – that and the fact that they take up so much freaking space in mine and The Captain’s wardrobes is driving me nuts! He seems to have a coat for every day of the week! I’ve been looking for a coat rack for a while now – we don’t have wall space that would work, so a standing one is an essential. That said, i’ve included both wall mounted and standing coat stands in this round up – and even two DIY’s you could make yourself!

The It’s Beautiful Here coat rack is now an iconic South African piece – i love seeing it on international blogs. It’s by Heath Nash and you can usually find them at Vamp.

Inspired by the waltz, this sculptural piece is a beauty – a little big for a domestic space but still lovely to look at.

I absolutely love this coat rack DIY – so so easy – and a lovely way to play with paint samples and spray paint – some colourful rope and you’ll be good to go! Maybe i could convince The Captain to make magic with some sailing knots! Here is the How To.

MInimalism your thing? Then this coat rack from South African design stars Pedersen + Lennard will surely strike a chord

I love this ridiculously simple but effective idea!

And i lvoe the idea of a tree – although i’d have it sprayed in a high gloss colour

And isn’t this dowel rack also fabulous? I love it!

What are your solutions to sorting all the coats that collect in your home?
