Sriracha is the golden chilli child in our house. The Captain eats it on everything and when we have people round for pizzas, the bottle gets a serious working! The one we’ve been buying is pretty pricey and i know that The Captain sometimes comments he wishes it was hotter – well, his prayers have been answered in the form of Flaming Tiger Sriracha which is a completely locally produced offering. I found about it via Lisa Clark’s latest amazing newsletter (seriously, if you don’t subscribe, you are missing out) – her equally talented sister and brother-in-law Amy and Wallace have produced it and Lisa’s verdict (and she should know being one of our top food stylists) is that it’s AMAZING. As Lisa explains, ‘it’s really well balanced and has more heat than the Sriracha that’s currently being imported into South Africa’. What i like the sound of is that it’s 100% local, it’s not full of cr*p, suspect ingredients and the packaging – well, that’s a no brainer – isn’t is beaut?!
Lisa produced and styled some recipes that she served with her sister’s amazing Flaming Tiger Sriracha – take a look
