• Hi Lovelies! Happy first Monday of 2017! I’m sorry i didn’t even sign off last year – i had every intention of blogging every day or two while away in Stanford but life sans nanny and with a 2.5 year old and a 4 month old is verrrrry busy! We had a wonderful time in Stanford – far too short, but amazing nonetheless – so much pool and river time, SO many wonderful meals with family and friends, some lovely walks (not nearly enough, sadly) and happily, some afternoon naps too. We had some time at home and also managed a few days in Montagu before heading back to the big smoke, ready for work. I started work last week and i’m surprised at how happy i was to go – i was really nervous about leaving both my poppets behind but so far, so good. Charley starts her new school this Wednesday, so we’ve been talking about that a lot and other than that we’re easing into the new year. While i know 2016 was frankly a crappy year for many people and for the likes of Syria and the US (especially if you’re not a fan of Trump the Chump), i am most grateful because its the year our Ava Grace safely came into the world. I realise that i have hardly shared anything about her on the blog, so i do have a post planned about her for the next few days, as well as some other stuff you might find interesting. I’m actually struggling with a bit of blog block at the moment, in the last week i’ve sat down in front of my laptop, ready to write a post and…nothing. Absolutely nothing has happened! it’s not the first time its happened (i’ve written over 3000 posts since i started!) but it’s the first time i’ve gone around in circles for so long. I’m pretty sure once i map out my plans for the year, which i plan to do this week, that will change but i think my blank wall is a sign that some stuff on the blog needs to change – i just need to figure out how.  In the meantime, here is a Happy New Year from me to you message, plus links to some of the prettiest calendar and planner printables should you also be where i am – about to start planning, because you haven’t had a chance to yet.

I love these planners. I have been bitten by the BuJo (bullet journalling ) bug. For an OCD/ A-type that I am, it is bliss to have my life organised in a structured way. I wonder how long it will take before it really becomes popular in SA.
