2010 has started with a bang and though there’s work to be done, the other day I sneaked out of my office (I still find it really strange as a freelancer that I really am allowed to do this), made myself a giant bowl of popcorn (OK, I lie, I opened a packet of Ghost Pops and prepared myself for that particular teeth goo that only they can bring) and settled into The Graduate (which had arrived in my post box courtesy of Pushplay.

Loverboy has been known to look at me with a completely blank expression when I’ve bounced into the house with my latest find – be it shiny heart-shaped stickers for his girls, new ribbon in a pattern I hadn’t seen before or patterned melamine bowls to add to my alarmingly large bowl collection. His response, after a long sigh: a resigned Eeyore-like ‘…more clutter’.

I’m not a raging chocoholic but like so many of us I find it difficult to resist what’s under my nose. This weekend (while supposedly shopping for post holiday detox goodies) I was shocked to see that some supermarkets already have Easter eggs on display – this when I’m still recovering from a Christmas crammed with Quality Streets! Oh well, if you can’t beat them…
