• You’ll know from the blog that i am a fan of Vamp and seriously, what’s not to love? I love how Paula and Michael unearth furniture finds goodness knows where and breathe new life and love into them and judging by the fact that stock changes here at lightning speed, so do lots of other people. I’m especially a fan of the smalls (vintage and otherwise) that Paula sources – she has such a great eye that i find myself wanting and wanting things whenever i pop in to say hello. I went along to the opening day of the new Vamp Collaborations concept a couple of Saturdays ago and i wasn’t disappointed.

Aside from that gold wall (Paula said it took 10 coats of paint to get the perfect gold sheen) and the gorgeous real-deal Tom Dixon lights and the even more gorgeous hanging greenery, care of Opus, the stars were the original dealer-verified Mid Century Modern pieces  …amazing to see them, all beautifully reconditioned and waiting for new homes.

Of course Paula and Michael’s trademark reworked finds are still flying in and out of the store but their new space housing their Vamp Collaborations is just that – a space to collaborate with other like-minded design fundis – i for one look forward to see what the Vamps have up their sleeves in the next few months!

Now (and i feel very bad that this is so late) i have a winner to announce – do you remember Vamp had a lovely print to giveaway on the blog erm…a while ago? Check the post out here

    Well, we have a winner…

Always exciting to see what that brilliant Paula is creating and recreating with Michael. I am hoping she will spread her wings and start offering bespoke design and decorating services in the future. I know a few places and spaces that could benefit from her magic touch. If she does I am sure you would be the first to know!

This Mid-Century furniture is just so to ‘have’ stuff. I resisted it for a very long time, namely due to the fact that it took me right back into the my years of growing up. I grew up with that furniture, smalls etc. when I read Paula blog, it is as if I have stepped into a time machine and find myself back in the days of my youth. I actually had to ‘ deal’ with this issue. But Hip Hip Hoorah, it is now no longer an issue and I feel free to drool over this furniture and stuff.
