You’ll know from the blog that i’m a fan of Cape Town gifting, clothes and decor stop Smitten. And now that they’ve moved to Kenilworth and taken things up a notch i’m even madder about them. Smitten is owned by sisters Charlene and Tracey and together they really do make a dynamic team. You may remember that Smitten really encompassed a vintage-shabby chic aesthetic when it first opened? Well, the girls have left that look behind and gone for a classic and contemporary look that’s pretty without being saccharine. There are touches of bold patterning, nods to the past that are more retro than cute vintage and some lovely quirky things in between.
Tracey and Charlene have become a sought after decorating duo – helping people to rethink their homes with clever changes and touches. They have a great eye for sourcing and upcycling lovely finds and i esepcially love the hues of blue and white they’ve brought into the Smitten mix.
The staples like pretty scarves and decorative objects is still very much a part of the Smitten experience
I could have spent a fortune shopping for baby and kids clothes
Those Sticky Fudge blouses are too adorable
Lovely retro-flavoured tableware
