Wondering what to do this coming Sunday and perhaps looking for somewhere cool where you can get out of the wind (or the sun for that matter)? Well you might be happy to know that one of Muizenberg’s most well-loved regular events is now open on a Sunday. The Bluebird Garage Marketnow operates both on a Friday afternoon and evening as well as Sundays from 11am to 3pm. A great place to stop into after a whirl at the beach, perfect for popping in if you’re going down the coast for a drive and for those of us who live in the ‘hood, what better excuse not to cook lunch on a Sunday? And let’s not forget the fact you can stock up on flowers that will last until next weekend and treats for teatime too.
What i love so much about Kim and Dylan who are the brains behind this proudly Muizenberg market is that they are madly, badly passionate about helping others to enjoy success. If Kim’s not singing the praises of a new fabulous ice cream person she’s found, Dylan is making you taste a new craft beer he’s discovered. They have new designers, established bakers, experimental candlestick makers (OK, not the last one, but you get my drift?)
I popped down over the weekend to get some pix before all the festivities got under way
This new brand Laviegro had their first day of trading on Sunday. Still students, Alex and Hamza have a very well-priced range of beautifully tailored shirts for men (love the cuff details) and leather goods for guys and gals about town. Aren’t the phone covers cool too?
Teatime treats – regte egte homemade quiche and as for those strawberry tartlets – sigh.
See you this coming Sunday lovelies? V x
