• I love hearing when new stores have opened and when it’s the opening of a store belonging to local creative talents, well then i’m even more excited! if you wander up towards the top of Kloof Street in Cape Town and turn right into De Lorentz Street, you’ll find the new studio and shop space for Handmade by Me and Windowsill on the left hand side. These two have been exhibiting their wares together for a while at various Kamers shows but their shared work and retail space is a first – and it’s fabulous!

Sera from Handmade by Me produces vibrant items in her own fabrics – from cushions to napkins and even nappy covers (which are adorable!) – team these bright beauties with the wonderful potted green offerings from Windowsill and you have a wonderful marriage of lust haves for you and your home! You’ll find a gift for every special person in your life and it goes without saying – plenty for yourself to love and take home too! Let’s begin our little tour shall we?

Sera also designed these amazing paper (they’re more like card, so can be used plenty of times) plates and they come in various patterns and colourways.

Oh, and she’s has also just launched baby muslins – want, want, want!! Aren’t the flamingoes beautiful?!

Visit them on Facebook here or pop into the store at 21 De Lorentz Street, Tamboerskloof, Cape Town (check the FB page for opening hours)
