• Since being on maternity leave i’ve been focusing on the last chores i have to do before The Poppet’s arrival and on the occasion i can face leaving home for any length of time, indulging myself in visiting some places i love. Smitten is one such place – one i haven’t been to for absolute ages. Of course it helps that i know that they stock absolutely beautiful baby clothes as well as a gorgeous range of women’s ready-to-wear clothing, decor smalls and decorative details to help you make pretty at home.

Quite a lot has changed since i was last at Smitten – they now stock the beautiful Aden+Anais range of beaut baby and toddler gear – from muslins and bamboo blankets as well as a beaut range of specially commissioned felt mobiles which i love, love, love (see the heart mobile in the pic below).

Smitten has also developed a new range of ready-to-go cushions, doorstops and beanbags in a large selection of fabrics and they’re on a mission with a new collection of nursery goodies too – owners Charlene and Tracy have clearly been very busy! Smitten2 Smitten3

This range of candles (above left) is so elegant and their much-loved staples like Vanilla Concrete ceramics and beautiful books continue to offer gift-giving inspiration.

So did i get out of their empty handed? Not on your life!

How cute is this Love sweater by Sticky Fudge? I couldn’t resist!

Gorgeous – makes me think of Poetry and I love the sideboard at their front door.

I went on Saturday and wanted to buy so many things … bought a friend the most beautiful ‘Luna’ candle in a botanical ceramic holder. Love it … may have to go back and treat myself. x
