Hi lovelies! I hope you’re well. I was a bit quiet on the blog last week – sorry about that! The week started with 24 hours in Joburg for meetings and ended with our annual Very Merry Xmas event for Good Housekeeping where i presented my usual decor demonstration – it always amazes me that a five minute presentation takes 2 days to prep! I’ve also had my head down with the I Want That Xmas Guide – i’ll be sharing 3 of the ten with you this week – there’s just been a technical glitch which i’m hoping to iron out today – i’m very excited as there are some fabulous products i’ll be sharing and i hope they’ll provide you with great gift giving inspiration!
In the meantime, if you’re looking for something to wear to a Christmas lunch or end of year do – know that you can never go wrong with a wrap dress – no matter your shape or size, it’s such a flattering cut, cinches in the waist beautifully and looks great as a plain or in a crazy pattern! Take a look at the ones i found online…
Ruff Tung is a local brand that can do no wrong right now – their inclusive model campaign is so right for the times, their fabrics are SO fabulous and their spotlight on sequins – well it’s just wow! These two kimono-inspired wrap stars are just too beautiful for words – i want them both! You’ll find Ruff Tung online at Spree!
Poetry is a local brand that does wrap dresses really, really well – each season sees new offerings in their trademark flattering styles – sometimes sleeveless, sometimes with a little cap sleeve for spring/summer. They’re nicely priced and you’ll always find them in on trend colours, prints and patterns. Click here to shop Poetry.
I think both of these wrap dresses (found at Woolies) in their varying lengths are absolute wardrobe classics! The one above (David Jones, buy here) would look so fabulous with super spiky heels and some bling while the maxi wrap dress below (click here to buy) would look wonderful with wedges. They’re both really well priced at R479 and R799 respectively.
Durban-based Jane Sews epitomise conscious clothing design and production and a commitment to producing classics you’ll never tire of. I have a shirt and a dress from them and i love them both! This wrap dress is made of Tercel which has a silk like drape – very wearable and very flattering too. Buy it here
Margot Molyneaux’s seasonal offerings are always interesting and a showcase of modern classic must haves – the wrap dress here has pockets – i’m sold! Buy it here.
I know i showcased from Good Clothing this lovely last week – but i thought i’d share it again – because it really is a beauty! Find it here.
