I LOVE looking at small spaces. How they’ve been configured, which room or space has been given the most focus and what clever ideas one can take from them. This apartment in Sweden is a lovely example of a small space that just oozes style – what’s interesting is that the owners haven’t skimped on making statements with larger pieces of furniture – from the big couch in the living room to their fabulous, upholstered bed…take a look
Everytime i see grey kitchen cabinetry my heart tugs a little – part of me really wishes i’d done something in grey in our kitchen. I’m seriously considering sending our pantry cupboard doors to be sprayed.
Subway tiles and marble-look surfaces for the win!
Check out the coffee table – it’s more a side table that’s been positioned centrally – and it looks amazing!
Two things stand out for me here – one is the HUGE rug – it really helps create a sense of cohesiveness in a small space. The other is that the couch is also BIG. And i think it really works!
I want that cabinet or one like it so so badly
OK, this bedroom is a beaut. It’s not big and they’ve played with scale by making the upholstered bed the star – it really worls – and the colour too, of course.
Here’s what i love most about it. See the bank of industrial glass windows? It hides a teeny tiny nursery – it’s such a clever way to add another ‘bedroom’ to a space plus it could always be converted to a dressing room at a later stage. I also think this treatment would be brilliant when there’s a balcony attached to a bedroom – as is so common in South African apartments. Also – that wallpaper!!
What say you, lovelies?
