Hi lovelies! Happy Day to you! I’m so inspired by this sunsplashed small space and by the clever space saving ideas the owners have used. They’ve kept things simple by sticking to a light and muted palette (which means they’ve been able to bring in more furniture without it being too jarring on the eye). Pale beech wood and white with touches of black is now a 21st century classic look – just look how great it is here.
A low slung sofa is great for making guests feel right at home and also doubles as a sleeper couch for overnight visits. See how the rug creates an immediate living room zone? A rug is a must whether your space is big or small.
I think that bench on the bright is just brilliant for a small space (this home is less than 50m2) where you can use it as a storage surface but if people come over – there’s an extra seating option OR a table if you use floor cushions. Something to consider if your space is small or if you’re planning on creating an Air B n B spot out of a granny flat
Another trick when dealing with a small space is to stay low – more wall area = more illusion of space.
Mirrors are a must in any smaller space and this leaning one is a really great option for bouncing around light and reflecting things to create the illusion of more space.
White diaphanous curtains are a must for this kind of look
As with many Swedish homes, scrubbed and sealed wooden floors are such a lovely look. The old school shelf is ideal for keeping inevitable clutter off the floor while the belly basket for odds and sods is just genius – i’m definitely going to copy that idea.
Hope this provided some inspo lovelies!
